Keynote Speaker
We are thrilled to announce Colleen Glaude as our keynote speaker! Colleen is the Dean of IT for The Westminster Schools, a private, K-12 laptop school located in Atlanta, GA. With over 25 years of experience in education, Colleen's experiences span both public and private sectors as a classroom teacher and as a district-level administrator. Colleen earned her BA in Mathematics with a minor in Physics, and a BS in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of Maine, Farmington, and most recently obtained her M.Ed. in Instructional Technology with a specialization in Human Performance Technology from the University of West Florida. She started her teaching career as a middle school teacher of mathematics, and expanded her roles to science, computer science, a school technology coordinator, a district technology coordinator, and a 1:1 implementation specialist. In 2007, Colleen was selected to be an Apple Distinguished Educator and has been part of an elite global network of advocates, advisers, authors, and ambassadors for utilizing technology to transform teaching and learning. Colleen travels nationwide as a specialist assisting K-12 schools with 1:1 mobile device school-wide deployments. She has presented at numerous state and regional conferences helping educators to develop and assess effective technology integration programs. When Colleen is not “plugged in" to technology you can find her teaching SCUBA and traveling with students worldwide, helping them to discover that people can make a difference – that we can begin to turn the tide and effect positive change in the way we live both above and below the water. |
